Unique Fusion Expertise: Wholistic approach for fusion materials research and development: advanced manufacturing of structural materials, powder metallurgy, and multi-scale characterization of micro-/nano-structures to understand process-structure-property relationship as well as radiation damage or the lack thereof. Specific areas of interest include scalable manufacturing methods based on friction stir and severe plastic deformation, joining/welding, tensile and creep testing, nanomechanics, characterization with SEM, AFM, TEM, etc.
